Quite a bit of rear chatter in braking for Zarco, it looks like. Struggling to improve on his 1:40.139 at the moment. Keeps him in front of Bagnaia for now, though, and Binder.

Positive lap for Quartararo who goes sixth on the Yamaha. Terrible weekend for them in Austria but with Quartararo sixth and Miller in fourth it looks a bit better here in Hungary so far.

Bike problem for Jorge Martin on the front straight. Quite a spectacular one as his RS-GP blows smoke coming out of the final corner. He's parked it in the gravel at turn one, where it's standing up on its own such is the depth of the gravel there.
Fabio Di Giannantonio leads the session at the moment on a 1:39.724 but times are scrolling, as you'd expect, early on here.
Interestingly, Pol's brother, Aleix Espargaro, was due to replace Somkiat Chantra at LCR Honda this weekend but he crashed on his push bike and, despite travelling to Balaton, was ruled out of the weekend yesterday.
Johann Zarco is once again the only LCR Honda rider on-track as a result.
It looks like a new exhaust on Pol Espargaro's KTM this morning. The KTM test rider has been drafted in this weekend to replace Maverick Vinales who continues to recover from his injuries from Sachsenring.
