The third round of the 2026 MotoGP season continues on Sunday 29 March with the 20-lap United States Grand Prix from the Circuit of the Americas.
The third round of the 2026 MotoGP season sees the championship return to COTA, having come to the track every year since 2013 except 2020 due to the COVID pandemic.
Fabio Di Giannantonio starts from pole position, after securing back-to-back poles for the first time in his MotoGP career on Saturday.
He will be looking to make up for a disappointing sprint race, after fellow Ducati rider Marc Marquez crashed into the VR46 rider on lap one of the sprint.
Marquez is the most successful rider at the United States Grand Prix, having won on seven occasions, all of which came while riding for Honda.
Aprilia rider Jorge Martin was victorious in the sprint race, while team-mate Marco Bezzecchi crashed out of second place. Martin leads the championship standing heading into the grand prix by one point over Bezzecchi.
After Friday’s action was dominated by a raft of crashes, Saturday continued in similar fashion as Marc Marquez, Di Giannantonio, Bezzecchi, Joan Mir, and Alex Rins all suffered falls in the 10-lap race.
The grid will be without its full compliment of 22 riders, after Tech3 KTM's Maverick Vinales withdrew ahead of Practice due to the left shoulder he injured in a crash in Germany last year.
The front row for the 2026 United States Grand Prix sees Di Giannantonio line-up alongside Pedro Acosta and Francesco Bagnaia. The second row is made up of Bezzecchi, Mir and Marc Marquez.
The 2026 US MotoGP begins at 21:00pm BST.
