Marquez: "Yesterday was extra motivation. In the final sector I defended, closed the corners. It's really nice to win in Italy, but it's also really nice to have a good advantage in the championship."
Quartararo: "Tough race! Marc had the experience of the last lap 2 times. This was the first fight with Marc and this was the best moment of my career, to be fighting with the seven-time world champion. I hope to have more of these in my career."
Viñales: "The feeling was not really good and I lost the front many times. I tried to recover at the end. But at the end we were consistent."

27/27: Marquez wins after an audacious out-braking move at T8! That was one for the ages for he didn't only pass his rival but took a 1/4s out of him. Quartararo gained it all back through Curvone but Marquez defended resolutely into T14. The Frenchman tried to cut it tight but then nearly lost the front and had to back off. Another Marquez win and his 77th across all classes.
27/27: Marquez moves to lead at T1 but Fabio is back at T4!
26/27: Still Quartararo - Marquez with nothing in it...
25/27: Viñales now just 1.5s off. But it will be too little too late, barring late drama at the front.
24/27: 0.082 covering the top 2!
23/27: Crutchlow crashes out of 11th at T8.
23/27: A Marquez move is incoming, surely. He's all over Quartararo through T10.
22/27: Still Marquez shadows Quartararo at the front. The calm before the storm.
21/27: Dovizioso is pushing to close in on Morbidelli for 5th.
