Alex Marquez is currently holding Moto2 pole by 0.341s from Luthi, with Navarro completing the provisional front row. 6mins to go.

Marquez: "I feel much better than at Misano. The Yamaha riders are not far. Let's see tomorrow how we can manage the race. The pole was important."

13:59

Quartararo: "Honestly I didn't expect to make this really good lap time. I was on the limit everywhere. It's important to be on the front row. We knew 1st would be difficult to get. We made a small change at the end so thanks to the team."

13:58

Viñales: I'm really happy. We worked well in FP4, especially with the hard rear tyre. We still have a lot to learn, a lot to improve.

Quartararo is under in sector 3! But he is losing so much on the back straight (0.3s!) and his advantage is gone. A fine lap nonetheless, and one that's good enough for 2nd on the grid. Another brilliant Saturday showing from Fabio.

13:51

But Quartararo is under Marquez through sector 2 of his final lap...

13:51
13:50

Viñales goes 2nd, Aleix Espargaro 4th. Rossi climbs to 6th.

13:50

Spanish TV now reporting Pol Espargaro is out of this weekend's action.

13:48

2 minutes to go and Marquez has Viñales ahead. He, in turn, has Aleix Espargaro tucked in behind.

13:47
13:45

Pol Espargaro is complaining of pain in his left wrist. While no broken bones were confirmed, he is going back for another x-ray to make sure that's the case.

13:44

The order at the session's 1/2 way point: Mar, Qua, Mil, Viñ, A.Esp, Mir, Mor, Dov, Cru, Ros. Iannone is yet to set a time and Pol Espargaro is out of qualifying after that horrible FP4 crash.

13:42

Aleix Espargaro is 5th, Mir 6th. Fine rides by the Spaniards thus far.

13:41

Marquez has just 0.785s in hand courtesy of that last lap. That should seal another pole. Quartararo now 2nd.

13:41

Miller fastest now. But Marquez is on a stonker of a lap, 0.6s up through sector 2.
