Miyazaki wins 250cc race for Yamaha.

Home boy Miyazaki won his local grand prix as a wildcard entry for the Motorex Daytona Yamaha team. The Japanese rider started from eighth place on the grid and rode a brilliant race to finish almost ten seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.

Sakai caused surprise with a podium position, as he did in morning warm up, which he finished in fifth overall. The Japanese rider held his second place well and was under no threat in the closing stages of the race.

Frenchman de Puniet had to battle hard for his third position and there was no letting up until the final corner where Aoki lost control of his bike and disappeared into the gravel along with his hope for points.
