Nicky Hayden's first home US Grand Prix as a Ducati rider will see the American race with this special patriotic livery on his Desmosedici GP9. Hayden, the 2006 MotoGP world champion, won the grand prix at Laguna Seca in 2005 and 2006 for Repsol Honda.

Jorge Lorenzo injury update.
The latest news following Jorge Lorenzo's huge highside at the end of MotoGP qualifying at Laguna Seca is that the double 2009 race winner is reported to have suffered a partial dislocation of his right collarbone and a bruised right foot.

Mika Kallio to have skin graft.
When MotoGP rookie Mika Kallio crashed on the last lap at Assen last weekend, his Pramac Ducati landed on his ring finger, tearing off the finger nail. It will never re-grow, and in August he will have a skin graft from his hip to cover the end of the finger.

Mika Kallio will miss the latest round of the MotoGP World Championship at Laguna Seca following the finger injury he sustained in his final lap accident at Assen.

MotoGP rookie Mika Kallio was just a few corners away from scoring a career best sixth place in Saturday's Dutch TT at Assen, when he crashed at high speed and badly injured his left ring finger, putting him in doubt for next weekend's US GP at Laguna Seca.
