Daijiro Katoh matched Rossi's performance in the 250s on Sunday, taking his sixth win from eight races in runaway style, despite a mistake that had him off the track at one point.

Pole sitter Tetsuya Harada's challenge for victory in Sunday's 250cc Grand Prix ended with a broken spark plug. The ceramic part of the 'plug' in Harada's v-twin Aprilia was damaged, robbing the Japanese star of vital revs, horsepower and any chance of victory.
'Samurai of Slide' back on the power.
The man who caught everybody napping in Sunday's 500cc British grand Prix, was Red Bull Yamaha's Noriyuki Haga the former Superbike star riding like the 'Samurai of Slide' of old.
Van den Goorbergh gutted.
Proton Team KR rider Jurgen van den Goorbergh will start tomorrow's British GP from fifth, the Dutch rider's best qualifying position this year on the lightweight three-cylinder Proton KR3 - but he was still angry and disappointed.

The big surprise of today's final qualifying session was the performance of Japanese Yamaha rider Shinya Nakano - who went faster on the damp track than he had in the dry yesterday, on his very last lap.

With five laps to go the 500cc Dutch GP was shaping up for yet another thrilling battle between Max Biaggi and Valentino Rossi, but then 'out of the blue' the red flags came out, giving Biaggi his second win of the season with 75% of the race distance completed.

Loris Capirossi started today's race from a pole position secured with the fastest ever lap of the Assen circuit but had to work hard to stay with his rivals, and ultimately the Italian only led one lap.

Loris Capirossi continued his qualifying domination in Assen today, holding his overnight pole comfortably - despite a late charge by Max Biaggi and Valentino Rossi.
