In celebration of the release of the Scooby-Doo movie on June 14, America Online and Warner Bros. Pictures have teamed up to create a special Scooby-Doo paint scheme that will appear on the America Online-sponsored Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by NASCAR Winston Cup driver Jeff Green.

Green will field the America Online/Scooby-Doo car in the NASCAR Winston Cup Coca Cola 600 on Sunday May 26, 2002, at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C., with sidekicks Scooby-Doo and Shaggy on the car, helping him speed to the finish line in the season's longest race.

Action Performance designed the car through a collaborative effort with America Online and Warner Bros. Pictures to highlight the release of the new Scooby-Doo movie. As part of the Scooby-Doo program, Action Performance will produce limited-edition replicas, apparel, and other merchandise for collectors via its distributor network, RCCA, trackside, and online at www.goracing.com.

Scooby-Doo opens June 14 and follows the adventures of Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang in their first-ever live-action film, as they muddle their way into a bona fide mystery that leads them into murky and possibly supernatural waters.

Warner Bros. Pictures presents an Atlas Entertainment Production of a Raja Gosnell film, the live action adventure Scooby-Doo, starring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Rowan Atkinson.

Based on the classic characters created by Hanna-Barbera Productions, the live action adventure Scooby-Doo is produced by Charles Roven and Richard Suckle and directed by Raja Gosnell, from a screenplay by James Gunn. The executive producers are Andrew Mason, Robert Engelman, Kelley Smith-Wait and William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The film editor is Kent Beyda, A.C.E.; the production designer is Bill Boes; and the director of photography is David Eggby, A.C.S.

Scooby-Doo will be released worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, an AOL Time Warner Company. The film is rated PG.
