Barnicoat takes KF3 double at PFI.

Ben Barnicoat was unbeatable at Paul Fletcher International as he won both KF3 finals in the last round of the British Junior Karting Championship to seal second place in the standings.

Ben Barnicoat dominated the final KF3 round at Paul Fletcher International to clinch second place in the MSA British Junior Karting Championship.

With series champion Jake Dennis making his KF2 debut the path was clear for Formula Kart Stars Champion Barnicoat to sew up second place overall from Jake Dalton, which he did with a dominant five second victory in the first final.

Dalton fought his way up from seventh on the grid to take second with Roy Johnson an equally distant third and Daniel Vaughan and Charlie Eastwood completing the top five.

From pole position Barnicoat was never headed in the second point scoring final, completing the weekend double with a comfortable advantage over Vaughan and Johnson, who both fought their way past Dalton in the closing stages to complete the podium.

Dalton just held off a fast rising Alex Hamilton for fourth place with Eastwood and leading series rookie Callum O'Keefe in seventh.

Thanks to his perfect tally from the weekend Barnicoat finished the season just four points behind Dennis on dropped scores with Dalton a further 17 points adrift in third and Johnson and Eastwood completing the top five.
