Martin puts new BP/Castrol backed Ford on top.
Ford driver Markko Martin picked up in Greece where he'd left off on the last round of the FIA World Rally Championship in Argentina. The Estonian retired from the South American event while leading - and he ended leg one of this week's Acropolis Rally in the same position.

SS8 cancelled.
Organisers of the Acropolis Rally have been forced to declare the result of Super Special Stage 8 null and void. The start was delayed due to the presence of spectators inside the circuit, however when it did finally get underway, conditions were extremely dusty.

Peugeot Sport today [Wednesday] announced the appointment of Nicola Gullino as World Rally Championship Team Manager. Of Italian nationality, Gullino has already fulfilled the same function with rigour and skill with the Italian racing team, Grifone.
