Falling off three times is never ideal but to pull it back and claim pole position with the only sub 1min 36sec lap this weekend at Vallelunga is quite an achievement.

Foggy scraps team return.
Foggy Racing was sidelined from the 2007 world championship after failing to find a replacement for Petronas, which left at the end of 2006 following a five-year association in which the FP1 Superbike was developed and raced against the established manufacturers.
WSS: Triumph join the World Supersport paddock.

The official test was held in scorching temperatures and attended by almost the entire 2007 line-up, eager to prepare for the September 30 event at the same circuit, and it was another Ducati rider who was fastest on day one, in the form of reigning double world champion Troy Bayliss.

Haga and leader Troy Bayliss had battled for supremacy from the start of race one, but were later caught by home hero Biaggi. Then, just three laps from the end, Biaggi attempted to overtake the Japanese by diving inside during the second part of the Curvone corner.
