The Briton is running 17th after being tagged at Turn 1 - suffering damage to the floor - before then making light contact with the back of Colapinto's Alpine coming down the home straight at the end of lap 1.

Though Hamilton came off worse with a lost front wing, stewards have blamed him for causing a collision - some 29 laps after it happened...

HUGE move by Piastri who tries to get both of Antonelli and Leclerc down the inside of Turn 1

He tries to bail out but taps the Mercedes driver, who is caught in the middle and bumps into Leclerc on the outside, who comes off worse.

Stewards will be looking at Piastri, who is up to second, while Antonelli holds onto third place after diving across the inside of Turn 2
