F1 Belgian GP LIVE: Qualifying reaction after Antonelli takes pole from Verstappen

Durksen and Stenshorne were both weaving beyond Blanchimont on the restart. The cars in positions one and two will almost certainly get penalties. 

And with that, it's time to take a short break, before we return about an hour before qualifying. That session is set to take place at 3pm BST, so we'll be back at 2pm BST.

Huge damage, and a lunch break gone for Ferrari, as Hamilton stands the other side of the barriers, watching the field go by. 

Exactly the same as Gasly, Hamilton lost the rear of his Ferrari, and slammed into the barriers at the Fagnes chicane. Again, like Gasly, the right-rear tyre has been ripped from the chassis, and this will be a race against time to get the car ready for qualifying. 

There could also be a gearbox and power unit change needed, which would incur grid penalties. 

This is very silly from some of the traditional backmarkers or midfield teams. Sainz, Gasly and Bearman all get in the way of Leclerc's latest hot lap. The Ferrari driver is forced to abort, and that could well be his session over. 

'I need some slipstream, ' says Leclerc. Is Ferrari going to play some games in qualifying? We saw how badly that went in F3 earlier in the weekend, with 11 drivers being slapped with penalties for trying to sort that in an unsafe manner. 

Had this been qualifying, Antonelli's time would have been deleted after exceeding track limits at the final corner heading onto his lap. Track limits will be a major talking point in the later session. 

It's a slower 1m46.255s this time around. Still, that would put him clear of Russell and in third, had he not already put in his previous lap. 

Antonelli's first sector is just 0.058s slower than his previous lap, so it's still strong. He's picking up speed through the middle of the lap. 

After looking strong early on, Hamilton is now in seventh place with Leclerc, in the second Ferrari, in ninth. The coming laps will give a clearer picture of where the Scuderia are in the pecking order. 

Antonelli aborts his lap at La Source. He missed the final gearshift into the corner, and cut his losses. 

Russell improves but is still 0.367s behind Antonelli in third. He drops back to fourth as Norris improves and goes second. Antonelli now begins his second run. 

Verstappen improves to seconds but is 0.148s shy of Antonelli. The Dutchman sarcastically tells Red Bull that his upshifts are "brilliant". A regular complaint. 

Green sectors all over the place, indicating personal bests. No purple session bests though.

Here come the drivers for the final runs in FP3. Mercedes is looking at every part of Russell's car, desperately searching for a reason for the 1s deficit to Antonelli.
