2025 F1 Miami Grand Prix - Race Day - As it happened

Bortoleto has stopped his Sauber.

Piastri, Norris, Russell, Albon, Antonelli, Sainz, Leclerc, Hamilton and Hulkenberg. 

Russell has jumped Verstappen through the pit stop phase. Pitting under the VSC, which is what Russell did, has saved him a lot of time.

Hamilton has come into the pit lane for a set of mediums. 

Piastri, Norris, Russell and Leclerc all come into the pit lane as well. 

Bearman's Haas has come to a stop. It will be interesting to see if race control call a full Safety Car here. 

Piastri, Norris, Russell, Leclerc, Verstappen, Hamilton, Antonelli, Albon, Sainz and Hulkenberg. 

Crucially, he rejoins just ahead of Antonelli in the battle for the podium. 

Antonelli and Sainz come in for their first pit stop of the race. Hard tyres for both drivers.

Verstappen might look to respond here. 

Piastri, Norris, Verstappen, Antonelli, Russell, Albon, Sainz, Leclerc, Tsunoda and Hamilton.

McLaren's Zak Brown expects the rain to miss the circuit. 

Hamilton finally overtakes Ocon for tenth. 

Norris has reduced Piastri's lead at the front to 8.7s. 

Piastri, Norris, Verstappen, Antonelli, Russell, Albon, Sainz, Leclerc, Tsunoda and Ocon.

Hamilton is right behind the Haas driver at the moment. 

Now things have settled down at the front. Piastri is running 9.1s ahead of Norris. 

Norris finally makes a clean move on Verstappen with the use of DRS into Turn 11 to move into second. 

Norris overtakes Verstappen down into Turn 11 but then loses the position into the final braking zone. Not sure if Norris was told to give the place back there.

Piastri, Verstappen, Norris, Antonelli, Russell, Albon, Sainz, Leclerc, Tsunoda and Ocon.

Norris is now attacking Verstappen into Turn 1 but he gets pushed slightly wide. Verstappen stays in second.

Verstappen runs wide at Turn 1 when trying to brake late and keep the position, which allows Piastri to get through.

A masterclass in defending from Verstappen as he defends from Piastri into Turn 1 and then Turn 11. Wonderful driving. 

Verstappen goes on the defensive into Turn 11 as Piastri uses DRS on the long straight in the middle part of the lap. 

Piastri is now in DRS range of Verstappen for the lead - and he's told there's rain on the way, which could hit on Lap 14. 

Norris has just overtaken Antonelli for third. 

There's just 1.1s between Verstappen and Piastri at the front of the field. Antonelli is running 3.1s behind in third.
