Stroll locked his right front at the final corner and was a passenger as he slid on the marbles into the barrier. On lap 62, this is going to be a chaotic end to the race.
All cars are instructed to go through the pits while the recovery work is completed, and Antonelli pulls into the box this time, fitting soft tyres to match and negate the Ferrari advantage.
Softs go on for Hamilton, and Leclerc also has softs fitted. He was delayed slightly in the double stack. Leclerc questions why Ferrari stopped him, but relatively fresh soft tyres will be an advantage.
With all the problems with pit lane speeding, Mercedes decides against pitting either car. Hamilton pits and will serve his penalty at the same time. Piastri also stops.
The safety car has been deployed after Lance Stroll puts his Aston Martin in the barriers at the final corner.
Williams manage the swap back, and Sainz dutifully drops back behind Albon.
Mercedes brush off Antonelli's problem as a minor de-rate issue, nothing major. He's warned against setting more fastest laps, and Russell has just been cleared of crossing the pit exit line illegally.
Antonelli reports there is something strange with the engine going up the hill! This could change everything if it becomes serious, especially as Leclerc is closing on Hamilton.
Piastri joins the club, and gets a five-second penalty for pit lane speeding. A very popular option off the menu today.
After Williams play team games, Sainz exits the pits and just about pulls out ahead of the pack being held up by Albon. The position reset will take place when there's a clear moment.
After being shown the black and white flag for track limits, Stroll again has a time deleted for breaching the limit. A five-second penalty is thrown in his direction.
Antonelli laps Hadjar, and next up for the championship leader is Russell.
There's confirmation. Gasly has a five second penalty for pit lane speeding.
Leclerc has plenty of pace at the minute, and has closed to within 4.6s of Hamilton. Given Hamilton has a five-second penalty, this could get very interesting between the Ferrari team-mates.
Gasly is now being looked at for speeding in the pit lane. Everyone seems to be doing this one today!

Braking too early to back the pack up into Sainte Devote, Albon is passed by Lindblad. However, Lindblad has to stop still.
Albon is not happy with this situation, complaining to Williams that the team is risking his position by "being too clever".
Albon has been ordered to allow Sainz through into P9. He will now back up the pack and create a window for Sainz to pit and return to the track still in the points, where they will then reset the positions.
Russell cruises past Norris in the tunnel, and Hadjar now darts past too. Norris has no power and looks set to retire now. McLaren confirms this, and he is the fourth retirement.
Russell has now been noted for crossing the line at the pit exit. How many investigations does Russell want to cause today?
"Norris is backing me up," reports Russell. Well, yes. Very observant there, George.
McLaren is playing the team game here, copying Williams from last year. With no hope of passing Gasly, Norris is now backing up Russell in order to create a gap for Piastri to pit and drop into. It's all part of the game in Monaco.
Colapinto becomes the latest driver to be caught speeding in the pit lane. That's another five seconds.
Norris is continuing at pace, but McLaren CEO Zak Brown confirms there is a 'PU related problem'. This has not been the 1000th grand prix celebration the team had hoped for.
