Montoya screwed by early running.

Following his disqualification from the Canadian Grand Prix, McLaren's Juan Pablo Montoya felt a further blow this weekend at Indianapolis as he had to take to the circuit second for qualifying.

After setting extremely competitive times in the practice sessions, the best the Colombian could manage was the eleventh fastest time, and he vented his frustration in the post qualifying press conference.

"The car's lighter and all over the place; it's just horrendous," he explained of running so early. "I had a penalty last race, and the way the rules are you got to carry it over to this race; you're screwed in two races, and I think it's pretty sad, you know, to have a car that could win the race and has been quicker than Kimi in two sessions, it's pretty hard.

"The lap was good. It's just running early, you get completely screwed. We seem to suffer more than a lot of teams. Us, our cars are easy on the tyres compared to some other cars. But you go out to qualify when the track is dirty, you go out and pick up all the dirt, and you're just done.

"I think we have a really fast race car but where I'm starting, I'm pretty screwed, to be honest."
