BMW traces engine problems.
BMW has traced the engine problems that blighted its challenge to Ferrari at the Canadian Grand Prix. According to BMW Motorsport director Mario Theissen it was a valve failure for Juan Pablo Montoya's car which put the Colombian out with just thirteen laps to go to the end of the race.
FIA returns Silverstone road bond.
British Grand Prix organiser Octagon Motorsports has confirmed that it has had its $5 million bond returned by the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile [FIA], following the successful completion of road improvements at Silverstone ahead of this year's Formula One meeting.
Magnum confirms commitment to Minardi.
The Magnum Corporation, sponsor of Minardi in Formula One has issued an official statement confirming its commitment to the team, following speculation to the contrary during the past week.

Nick Heidfeld had a very positive test at Mugello today [Wednesday] as Team Sauber Petronas began a three day test in preparation for the Grand Prix of Europe. He clocked a best time of 1 minute 24.853 seconds, covering 63 laps.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Honourable Dato Seri Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad and his entourage visited the Sauber Petronas F1 headquarters in Hinwil, Switzerland yesterday.
