Jose-Maria Lopez is a product of the Renault Driver Development programme [RDD], this week he had his first experience at the wheel of an F1 car at Barcelona with the Renault F1 team.

Nick Heidfeld today spearheaded Jordan Ford's first test session since the close of the 2003 season, joined by Jarek Janis, the 20 year old Czech FIA F3000 driver, at the Jerez circuit in Spain.
Renault F1 welcomes i-mode to F1.
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team is pleased to announce the signature of a long-term partnership agreement with NTT DoCoMo, Inc., the Japanese market-leader in mobile communications and a service provider of i-mode, for 2004 and beyond.

FIA reveals entry list for 2004.
Formula 1's governing body, the FIA, yesterday revealed the full entry list for the 2004 F1 World Championship, all but four places remain to be confirmed for next year - namely those at Jordan and Minardi.
Wurz to stay at McLaren next season.
Despite persistent rumours linking him to a seat at Jaguar Racing, McLaren has confirmed that Alex Wurz will remain with the team for the 2004 season.
Minardi to test at Vallelunga.
European Minardi Cosworth today confirmed that it will stage a three-day test at Vallelunga, on December 10, 11 and 12.
Heidfeld to lead Jordan winter test.
In accordance with speculation doing the rounds, former Sauber pilot Nick Heidfeld will join Jordan Grand Prix next month - even if it is only to conduct the Silverstone-based team's first winter test.

F1 testing resumes today.
The post-season F1 testing ban ends today, and most of the Formula One teams will immediately begin testing in Spain. On-track testing has been prohibited since the season-ending Japanese Grand Prix on October 12.
