Wilson out to conquer bogey circuit.
Justin Wilson, cruelly denied a top ten finish in Montreal last time out thanks to gremlins in his Minardi PS03 gearbox, is hoping, together with the rest of the team, for improved reliability this weekend at the European Grand Prix following two successive DNF's in Monaco and Canada.

No new McLaren before Silverstone.
The McLaren-Mercedes team will persevere with its ageing MP4-17D for at least the next two grands prix - at the Nurburgring and Magny-Cours - after delaying the introduction of its latest model for a further month.

BMW WilliamsF1 driver Marc Gene set the pace today [Friday], at the Jerez circuit in Spain. Gene's best lap was a 1 minute 19.278 seconds, four tenths up McLaren driver David Coulthard, who was the next quickest.

Fernando Alonso again out-paced the best McLaren-Mercedes had to offer as he topped the third day of Formula One testing at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit in southern Spain.

Schumacher: Montreal win was crucial.
Ferrari number one Michael Schumacher reckons it is only 'right' he is now leading the drivers' championship following the Canadian Grand Prix at the weekend.

Team McLaren-Mercedes driver Kimi Raikkonen was quickest today [Tuesday] at the Jerez, circuit in Spain. Raikkonen completed 63 laps in total, his best a 1 minute 19.718 seconds, over half a second up on Marc Gene, who was next up in the Williams-BMW FW25.

MP4-18 crash set back for McLaren.
Team McLaren Mercedes third driver Alexander Wurz has escaped unhurt, following an accident this morning at Jerez, while testing the Woking based concern's new car, the MP4-18.

Gearbox failure robs Wilson of top ten finish.
Justin Wilson was cruelly denied his first Formula One top ten finish yesterday afternoon at the Canadian Grand Prix as gearbox failure forced his retirement while running tenth overall with just eight laps of the 70-lap race remaining.

Jordan sues Vodafone, telecom company unconcerned.
Telecommunications giant Vodafone says that it is not worried about a legal action being brought against it by Jordan, claiming that allegations that it pulled out of a sponsorship agreement is 'wholly without merit'.

Badoer finishes up at Fiorano.
Veteran Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer concluded running yesterday [Saturday] at Fiorano. The Italian was at the wheel of an F2003-GA, and the Scuderia's official test driver worked through a programme of tyre and electronics testing.

Rubens: Monaco was not a good event for me.
Ferrari number two Rubens Barrichello arrived in Miami on Thursday, for a few days rest and to beat the jet-lag, prior to travelling up the United States Eastern Seaboard to Montreal on Wednesday, where the next round of the world championship takes place on Sunday June 15th.
