Imola: A question of strategy?
Ferrari's relatively poor show in the qualifying session for the San Marino Grand Prix was put down to the fact that the Scuderia had opted for the harder of Bridgestone's tyres, where McLaren went for the soft option.

The BMW Williams-F1 team proved today in practice that F1 does have a sense of humour. After being shunted up the rear on numerous occasions in 2001 the team decided to display a special message written on their rear wing. It read: "Keep your distance!" (see picture) .
Bridgestone introduces new tyres at Imola.
New specifications of wet and dry Bridgestone tyres made their race weekend debut at the Imola circuit in Italy today. The initially damp track dried out quickly giving Bridgestone's teams the opportunity to try two new specifications prior to Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix.
Michael says: Montoya has the right attitude.
Three times World Champion Michael Schumacher has said that Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya has the right mentality. The German told British newspaper The Sun : "Montoya doesn't have any respect for other drivers and I didn't have that either when I started. And that is quite right."

We cannot win on merit at the moment, says Berger.

Michelin came away from the previous grand prix in Brazil with another point to its name, thanks to Giancarlo Fisichella. On the 65th lap of the race, the Mild Seven Benetton Renault Sport driver wrested sixth place from Jean Alesi (Prost-Acer Michelin).

Imola bishop criticial of Easter Sunday GP.
Imola Bishop Guiseppe Fabiani, has criticised the timing of next weekends San Marino Grand Prix as it coincides with Easter Sunday. He said: "On such a day, the race should have been organised in a non-Christian country, where it wouldn't have caused any problems."

Jerez test - day three: 5 April.
The final day of testing at Jerez did not quite go the same way as its counterparts at Silverstone and Magny-Cours but, as the afternoon cloud rolled in, it was Giancarlo Fisichella's Benetton which came out on top.

Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro will already be working at Fiorano today, to prepare for the San Marino Grand Prix, due to take place at the Imola circuit on the 15th April.
