Jaguar's Niki Lauda has revealed that Alain Prost contacted him before the San Marino GP as he wanted to 'borrow' Pedro de la Rosa as he was unhappy with the form shown by Gaston Mazzacane.

Mazzacane in talks with two teams, says Manager.
Gaston Mazzacane may still race in Formula One this year for the European-Minardi team as a replacement for Tarso Marques or even for the OrangeArrows team.

A 360 Spider for Johnny Halliday.
Johnny Halliday, one of the most famous French rock stars was in Maranello today to pick up his new Ferrari, a 360 Spider in red. Along with his companion, Halliday visited the Ferrari factory, celebrating his new acquisition with a glass of sparkling wine.

Sauber try power steering.
Team Red Bull Sauber Petronas completed its three-day trial at Mugello today, in readiness for the Catalunya GP in Barcelona next week. Kimi Raikkonen took over the driving from Nick Heidfeld and recorded the third fastest time - a 1 minute 25.573 seconds.

Mugello test - day 3: April 20.
Testing at Mugello ended today with Ferrari topping the times by over a second - Michael Schumacher was fastest with Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer three-tenths down.
Jaguar confirms Burti departure.
Jaguar Racing today confirmed that Luciano Burti is joining Prost Grand Prix, and will be replaced in the Jaguar line-up by current test driver Pedro de la Rosa.
Prost swaps Mazzacane for Burti.
Prost Grand Prix announced today that, following an agreement with Jaguar Racing, Luciano Burti will join the French team as official driver, alongside Jean Alesi, for the remainder of the 2001 season.

Badoer and Barrichello at Mugello.
After a day at Fiorano yesterday, the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro team spent today testing at the Mugello track with Luca Badoer and Rubens Barrichello at the wheel of two cars.
Albers gets Minardi test chance.
European Minardi has confirmed that Dutchman Christijan Albers will join the team when it tests at Mugello this coming week.

Juan: Michael is undisputed number one at Ferrari.
Williams' Juan Pablo Montoya has said that any driver going to Ferrari while Michael Schumacher is there will not get an equal chance.
Imola: A question of strategy?
Ferrari's relatively poor show in the qualifying session for the San Marino Grand Prix was put down to the fact that the Scuderia had opted for the harder of Bridgestone's tyres, where McLaren went for the soft option.

Williams tell rivals: "Keep your distance!"
The BMW Williams-F1 team proved today in practice that F1 does have a sense of humour. After being shunted up the rear on numerous occasions in 2001 the team decided to display a special message written on their rear wing. It read: "Keep your distance!" (see picture) .
Bridgestone introduces new tyres at Imola.
New specifications of wet and dry Bridgestone tyres made their race weekend debut at the Imola circuit in Italy today. The initially damp track dried out quickly giving Bridgestone's teams the opportunity to try two new specifications prior to Sunday's San Marino Grand Prix.
Michael says: Montoya has the right attitude.
Three times World Champion Michael Schumacher has said that Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya has the right mentality. The German told British newspaper The Sun : "Montoya doesn't have any respect for other drivers and I didn't have that either when I started. And that is quite right."

We cannot win on merit at the moment, says Berger.
BMW Motorsport director Gerhard Berger has attempted to play down Williams' chances this year of winning a Grand Prix after Juan Pablo Montoya came so close in Brazil.
