2025 24 Hours of Le Mans as it happened

Live updates from the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans

The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans begins at 4pm CET on Saturday 14 June.

The showpiece event of the entire endurance racing year, the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans is the 93rd edition of the iconic event held at the Circuit de la Sarthe in mid-June.

Cadillac will be chasing an historic first victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, after it locked out the front row for a maiden pole earlier this week in Hyperpole.

The Jota-run Cadillac's of the No.12 and No.38 cars will lead the field at the start of the race on Saturday and could become the first American manufacturer to win outright at Le Mans since Ford in 1969.

Cadillac - who has four cars on the grid in Hypercar - will face stiff opposition, however, with six manufacturers expected to be in the mix for victory over the next 24 hours.

Last year's winners Ferrari struggled in qualifying, with the 2024 victor No.50 car only seventh, while the No.51 car and the No.83 AF Corse entry 11th and 13th on the grid.

Porsche will be aiming for a 20th victory at Le Mans and the first for Roger Penske, with the Penske Motorsport-run 963s starting from third, fifth and last in class. The No.6 entry was disqualified from Wednesday's qualifying results due to a weight limit infringement.

Toyota goes for a sixth victory at Le Mans on the 40th anniversary of its first visit to the French enduro, though it will do so from far down the grid, in 10th and 16th.

Other marques looking to push themselves into victory contention are BMW and Alpine, while returning Aston Martin and the Peugeot entries look set for a tough race.

Three classes will be on track, with the LMP2 field led off the line by the No.29 TDS Racing entry, while LMGT3 is headed by the No.27 Heart of Racing Aston Martin.

The race runs from 4pm CET Saturday 14 June to 4pm CET on Sunday 15 June, and is a double points round in the World Endurance Championship.

The No.43 car holds the lead still in LMP2, with Nick Yelloly behind the wheel of that Inter Europol entry now. It leads by about seven seconds from the No.48 VDS Panis Racing car.

19:41

The No.94 Peugeot is in second, but is out of sync with the rest of the field on stops.

19:40

Fuel and fresh rubber for Matt Campbell in that No.6 Porsche and he's away for his stint.

19:40

That will put the No.50 Ferrari with Miguel Molina in it back to the lead.

19:39

The No.6 Porsche is in from the lead.

19:38

The No.83 has been in for fresh tyres, has taken on Yifei Ye, has served its five-sec penalty and is away again into fifth.

19:35

The No.83 pits, releasing the No.6 Porsche for Vanthoor into the lead.

19:34

With 74 laps gone, the No.83 AF Corse car leads from the No.6 Porsche and the No.50 Ferrari.

The No.8 Toyota is taking at least one soft tyre at its stop, similar to the No.7 car earlier in the race.

19:32

The No.8 Toyota has pitted from third.

19:31

The No.5 has been in for another stop and is down in 14th.

19:30

The No.7 Toyota is being investigated for pitlane speeding. Nyck de Vries is in that car now, but it was Kobayashi who was in the car at the time of the incident.

19:28

The No.50 Ferrari is now in too. So the No.83 leads.

19:28

Giovinazzi also got out of the car for Alessandro Pier Guidi in the No.51.

19:26

The No.51 has taken on new tyres at its stop as well as fuel. It rejoins 11th.

19:24

The No.51 Ferrari is in from third place.

19:24

We still have all 21 Hypercars running at this stage. The only retirement so farhas been the No.88 Proton Competition Mustang, which crashed during the fourth hour.

The No.60 Iron Lynx Mercedes is still in its garage after stopping earlier due to some kind of technical issue. It's not retired yet. But 61/62 cars still officially running.

19:22

Some more insight from the Cadillac camp:

Filipe Albuquerque, No 101 Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R (triple stint, driver change Lap 67)
“It is such a pure joy to drive this car and then to drive it at Le Mans. The car is pretty good. To be honest, I think the biggest struggle that I had today was the mosquitos. It is a lot of mosquitos on the windscreen. I tell you by the last three laps, you don’t see well. It’s not nice. The car was very good. A bit of understeer for myself but easy to job. I don’t think we are so far off. It was a shame the first stint but now we need to get in the rhythm.”

19:21

Rossi's first stint in the No.46 BMW in LMGT3 comes to an end as he brings the car in for a stop. He was maintaining second in class, so good start to his race.

He's refuelled and has some fresh tyres fitted and on his way again.

19:18

Kubica's not getting what he wants from the brakes, so he's having to take a few pumps to get the temp up.

19:17

The No.15 BMW has been cleared of an unsafe release.
