Tyre company Kumho has apparently conducted a test using rubber that meets F1 specifications, although it is initially destined for another series on the single-seater ladder.
Pirelli has selected the medium and soft compounds to bring to India this weekend, with the company saying that this should prove the best combination to encourage close racing.
After being tested by teams at last week's Young Driver Test at Silverstone, Pirelli's new specification will make their race debut this weekend at the Hungaroring.
