As it happened: Francesco Bagnaia ends Friday Practice as the rider to beat

Big crash for Fabio Di Giannantonio at turn one. The Italian seems to be okay after a hefty fall through the gravel. 

But the two Hondas are quickly overshadowed by Bagnaia and Bezzecchi as Ducati regain top spot. 

Wow! Alex Rins has gone to the top of the leaderboard. 

Marc Marquez goes fastest with a sensational lap. 

Marc Marquez is on his second bike and back out for his final run. 

Binder had gone quickest but Bezzecchi, Martin and Bagnaia have all gone quicker. 

Crash for Marc Marquez in the final sector. He was on course to go fastest before his fall. 

Espargaro is back out on circuit as the time attacks have begun. 

It looks as though Espargaro is struggling once again as he removes his boot to put ice on the injured ankle. 

Fall for Joan Mir at turn one. The Honda rider's dreadful 2023 season continues. 

Espargaro makes the same mistake as Martin at turn one. Lickuly it's not a crash for the Aprilia rider.

Espargaro has gone seventh fastest as he continues to show good speed despite his injury. at the front it's now a Ducati top five. 

Espargaro is back in the garage but he looks to be in much better shape than FP1. 

Martin goes fourth to make it a Ducati top four, as no rider from another manufacturer is currently under the 1m 47s barrier. 

There yet more Ducati dominance taking place at Mugello as Zarco leads from Marquez and Bagnaia. 

Martin is too hot into turn one as he runs off circuit and through the gravel. 

It looks as though Aleix Espargaro will be back in action, at least for the start of FP2.
