2025 Aragon MotoGP: Sprint LIVE UPDATES

Live updates from the Sprint at this weekend's Aragon MotoGP.

Sprint at the Aragon MotoGP is scheduled to get underway at 15:00 local time.

Marc Marquez was fastest in Practice on Friday and took pole position this morning by 0.260 seconds ahead of his brother and chief title rival Alex Marquez.

Franco Morbidelli was able to make it an all-Ducati front row for this weekend's races, while Francesco Bagnaia qualified fourth ahead of Pedro Acosta and Brad Binder.

Yamaha struggled on Friday, but Fabio Quartararo was able to make it through Q1 to Q2 and ultimately qualified on the third row in ninth.

Silverstone winner Marco Bezzecchi crashed on his first flying lap of Q1 and had problems on his second bike, and could only qualify 20th, ahead only of Somkiat Chantra.

Alex Rins currently third at the moment, only 0.073s behind his teammate. 0.3s back then from Rins to Raul Fernandez in fourth.

Bezzecchi now heading back out on his second bike, Quartararo going for run two now, as well, as are the rest.

Marco Bezzecchi has got back to the pits. He has 8 minutes to get back out and set a lap time.

Di Giannantonio goes second with his first lap, 0.021s behind Quartararo and just ahead of Rins.

Quartararo was almost 0.3s under his best lap at the third split but he went wide at the last corner.

1:47.078 is the first real time of the session from Fabio Quartararo, and nobody currently on course to beat it.

Marco Bezzecchi has crashed on his first flying lap. He's gone down at turn three. He should be able to get back to the paddock from there, and that's what he's trying to do.

Could be a costly crash, though, with no time on the board yet.

Q1 begins

Q1 is underway in Aragon, first riders heading out on track now.

While Marc Marquez is the clear favourite for pole position today, we have Q1 to get through first.

All five Yamahas (Augusto Fernandez is also wildcarding this weekend) at in Q1, as are Fabio Di Giannantonio and Marco Bezzecchi.

Fabio Quartararo and the two aforementioned Italians are surely the favourites to advance to Q2, but it should be a competitive session.

FP2 finish

The flag is out for FP2, and Marc Marquez ends this morning's final practice fastest.

0.124s behind him is Pedro Acosta, and Franco Morbidelli completes the top-three.

Vinales and Binder with decent sessions, too, in fourth and fifth.

There's been a crash for Alex Marquez in this FP2 session. It was actually the first crash of the weekend in  the premier class.

Marquez was unharmed but he may only have one bike for qualifying.

Joan Mir has also crashed now at turn two.

Welcome to live coverage of today's qualifying session from the MotoGP Aragon Grand Prix.

Q1 is set to get underway in around 20 minutes at 10:50 local time with Q2 coming up shortly afterwards.

There are currently eight minutes remaining in FP2. Marc Marquez is currently fastest frm Franco Morbidelli and Pedro Acosta.
