2025 Hungarian MotoGP: Friday Practice LIVE UPDATES

Live coverage of the Friday practice sessions at the Hungarian MotoGP from Balaton Park.

MotoGP makes its debut at Balaton Park this weekend as the Hungarian Grand Prix returns to the calendar for the first time in over 30 years.

Practice coming up this afternoon at 15:00 local time.

Marc Marquez enters this weekend with a 142-point championship lead over Alex Marquez and on a six-race win streak.

The Ducati riders are the only ones to have ridden in Balaton at a track day in the summer break.

Pol Espargaro also rode here during a test in June, and is replacing the injured Maverick Vinales at Tech3 this weekend.

Somkiat Chantra was due to be replaced by Aleix Espargaro but the Spanish rider was injured himself ahead of the event and so Johann Zarco will be the only LCR Honda rider on-track this weekend.

Acosta up to second with his latest lap and within 0.5s of Marquez, but that doesn't last too long as Marquez gets into the 1:37s.

A run-on for Marquez at turn one after setting that lap but he's dominated this morning.

10:39

Marini improves to second with his latest lap. Still 0.5s off Marquez but a good morning for the Italian.

Quite a bit of rear chatter in braking for Zarco, it looks like. Struggling to improve on his 1:40.139 at the moment. Keeps him in front of Bagnaia for now, though, and Binder.

10:32

Almost everyone back in the pits now with 12 minutes remaining. Only Zarco still out there, down in 19th at the moment.

10:31

Crash for Morbidelli, his second of the day. This time he's gone down into 15. Looks a bit more impacted by that one but he's jogging his way back to the pits now.

Marini having a solid session as well, he's still up in P3 for now. New chassis for him this weekend.

Positive lap for Quartararo who goes sixth on the Yamaha. Terrible weekend for them in Austria but with Quartararo sixth and Miller in fourth it looks a bit better here in Hungary so far.

10:23

10:23

Run-on for Bezzecchi as well, turn 16 for the Italian. He's 17th at the moment.
