Scary moment for Johann Zarco at Turn 5 a few moments ago as he washed the front at the left-hander. He kept it upright, though.
Not many lap time changes recently at the sharp end. Lots of used tyre running going on, which suggests that there's a fair bit of drop off.
Good start to the weekend so far for Johann Zarco in third currently. But, he doesn't have the updates the other factory Hondas have.
So, I think we'll see him drop back as the day goes on unfortunately.
After 15 minutes:
- Marc Marquez - 1m39.198s
- Alex Marquez
- Zarco
- Bezzecchi
- Acosta
- Bastianini
- Oliveira
- Marini
- Aldeguer
- Di Giannantonio
That didn't take long!

Somkiat Chantra is back in after his first run in weeks on the RC213V. He is currently 1.792s off the pace after the first 15 minutes of running.
Alex Marquez is second right now, just under 0.2s from Marc Marquez.
Marc Marquez has been tailing Franco Morbidelli for all of this FP1 session so far.
Alex Marquez noted yesterday that Marc had been spending the week studying the testing lap times of his from November. Looks like he's now getting a live showing of where the GP24 is better than he is on the GP25 around here.
Jack Miller has gone down at Turn 10. Won't be the last time we see that crash from riders this weekend. He's up and ok.
Not a quick start to the session for Pecco Bagnaia right now. But his Ducati team was working on his second bike. So, perhaps he's gone out on the old set-up to get some data before swapping to the new set-up he used Hungary.
Marc Marquez now goes top with a 1m39.198s from Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta.
Vinales improves at the top of the order with a 1m40.268s.
The lap record at Barcelona, set by Aleix Espargaro last year, is a 1m38.190s.
First laps on the board and Maverick Vinales is fastest with a 1m41.652s.
Pitlane has opened for the opening 45-minute practice of the Catalan Grand Prix weekend.
This Barcelona circuit is pretty low-grip and hard on tyre wear. Will be intriguing to see what kind of used tyre pace we get today.
We've just seen Pecco Bagnaia for the first time this morning. He won both Barcelona races last year.
Hungary was a nightmare weekend, but he felt there was a major breakthrough on Sunday with the set-up of his bike.
Read more details about that below:
Jorge Martin returns to the scene of his 2024 world title in strong form after a fourth in Hungary. He's wary of predictions, but he will be one to keep an eye on.
After the Hungarian Grand Prix, Marc Marquez comes to Barcelona with a 175-point lead in the standings.
If he leaves with a 185-point lead, he will have a first chance at winning the title at Misano.
But, he considers this a weak circuit.
We're just 10 minutes away from the start of FP1.
We also have two wildcard entries present this weekend.
Aleix Espargaro is in at the Honda test team for the Catalan Grand Prix - a race he won in 2023.
He is carrying a back injury from a cycling crash, so there is no guarantee he will see out the weekend.
At Aprilia, Lorenzo Savadori is making another appearance this weekend.
Having been absent for the last few rounds, Tech3 KTM's Maverick Vinales is attempting to ride this weekend at Barcelona.
He will be reviewed again after FP1.
At LCR, Somkiat Chantra is also back following a lengthy injury spell.
Good morning and welcome to live coverage of the 2025 MotoGP Catalan Grand Prix.
We'll be with you all day for the latest from the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
FP1 is up first at 9:45am BST.
