Acosta fires in a 1m29.718s to go fastest.
Wow! Marquez finds a massive final sector to go up to sixth. He was on course for 19th in sector three!
Steady first flying lap this from Marquez, who is on course to only move up to 19th.
Alex Rins is flying today. He's up to third. Long time since we've seen him the leading Yamaha.
Marquez heads back out on his second bike and on a fresh soft rear.
Not a lot going for his team-mate Bagnaia either right now, who is 17th.
Aprilia has confirmed this morning that Jorge Martin, the 2024 world champion, will not return for the Australian Grand Prix in mid-October as he continues to recover from surgery on his shoulder.

Marquez has a fresh set of leathers on and is heading back to his Ducati garage with 22 minutes to go.
He's down in last at the moment, 2.037s off the pace.
Marquez will take some comfort from the fact that at Assen he suffered two big crashes and was not the fastest all weekend, but still won both races.
Bezzecchi is going really well on soft rubber. On a nine-lap old tyre he's set another 1m29.9s.
Second crash of the day and it's a bigger one for @marcmarquez93 who is in P20 🤯#IndonesianGP 🇮🇩 pic.twitter.com/3jSpwvQmFk

Bezzecchi, by the way, has gone quicker at the top of the timesheets with a 1m29.840s.
Marquez is onto the back of a scooter and heading back to pitlane. But two crashes in one session is quite the rarity for the new world champion.
Not an easy day for Ducati overall right now.
Marc Marquez has gone down again! He's crashed t Turn 5, the rear let go.
Standings after 30 minutes:

- Marini
- Rins
- Quartararo
- Aldeguer
- Di Giannantonio
- Binder
- Fernandez

We've seen quite a few riders going for early soft tyre runs, which could be useful given the risk of yellow flags. But it does also look like track evolution is such that a banker now probably won't keep you safe.
Pedro Acosta is out on a new soft rear and goes fastest with a 1m30.435s.
Honda has obviously made big changes to that bike this year, but it is worth pointing out that the stiffer rear tyre carcass brought to these extremely hot rounds is something that has - in the past - worked in Honda's favour.
Marini is just so consistent right now. He narrowly missed better his time on his previous lap and is on used soft rubber right now. He's one again on a lap very close to his best.
Marc Marquez is back in his Ducati garage debriefing his fall at Turn 10.
He said prior to this weekend that he would be trying some solutions with a view to 2026. So, I wonder if that has been a factory in that crash too.
Bezzecchi improves but stays second as Marini improves to a 1m30.613s.
As always, the top 10 at the end of this session will go through directly to Q2 qualifying on Saturday morning.
Currently, that top 10 after 15 minutes is:
- Marini
- Bezzecchi
- Aldeguer
- A.Marquez
- Morbidelli
- Rins
- Miller
- Fernandez
- Oliveira
- Bagnaia
Bezzecchi trips the beam on the start/finish straight and misses top spot after losing almost 0.3s in the final sector.
Bezzecchi's making some moves on medium rubber 15 minutes into this session. He's currently second and on course to go top.
