Marc Marquez has headed out. Looks like he's carrying out a race sim now. Let's keep an eye on this.
The top 10 on combined standings with two hours of the pre-season to go:
- Marc Marquez - 1m28.836s
- Pecco Bagnaia - 1m28.883s
- Marco Bezzecchi - 1m28.952s
- Alex Marquez - 1m28.961s

- Ai Ogura - 1m9.218s
- Raul Fernandez - 1m29.302s
- Fabio Di Giannantonio - 1m29.411s
Bezzecchi is well into a race simulation right now. He's very consistent in the low 1m31s at this stage, about 16 laps in.
More riders have headed out, but still no sign of the factory Ducati pacesetters with just over two hours remaining.
Jorge Martin spoke to the media earlier today between sessions and feels he is aiming for a top nine result coming into the 2026 Thai Grand Prix.

Track is definitely getting busier now.
Marco Bezzecchi is now out on track, as is Diogo Moreira.
Quartararo has pitted, as has Binder.
A lot of aero on show today at Buriram. Unfortunately, not the chocolate kind!
Brad Binder has joined the action now, too. We're into race start time, so we could well see a lot of long runs coming in.
It's now nearly 3pm local time and Fabio Quartararo has gone out on the Yamaha.
2:30pm and there are still no riders on track.
Jack Miller did indeed do a race simulation earlier on the new Yamaha V4 - not a Sprint sim, but 20 laps, close to a grand prix distance of 26 laps.

Marc Marquez's 2025 Thai GP race-winning average (laps 2-21) = 1'31.215s
It's been a very quiet start to Session 2 with only Alex Marquez setting a lap time so far in the scorching mid-afternoon heat.
It's now 2pm, an hour before the race start time of 3pm next weekend, so we expect long runs to begin in the next hour.

It looks like Pramac Yamaha's Jack Miller might be finishing Session 2 with a longer run, he seems to be consistently in the high 1m 32s/low 1m 33s.
Bagnaia's Sprint run average on day one was 1m 30.276s, and Pedro Acosta's 1m 30.550s.

Into the hour of Session 1 and riders are still working on short runs, except Tech3 KTM's Maverick Vinales who has put together eight laps in a row.
The Ducati riders are still divided between the 2024 and 2025 front wings, based on personal preference: Alex Marquez, Fabio di Giannantonio and Francesco Bagnaia look to be leaning towards the 2024. Franco Morbidelli the 2025. Marc Marquez still seems to be trying both.

Pedro Acosta is among those likely to be pleased with their morning's work. The KTM rider didn't get a decent time attack in on day one, when he was left in 14th - a concern given the importance of qualifying - but has found 0.8s today for 4th.
There have been no long runs so far today, with riders probably continuing to try new parts and set-up options before going for a Sprint or even Grand Prix simulation this afternoon at around the 3pm start time for next weekend's races.
Official Buriram MotoGP Test: Results - Day 2 (11am)
Brad Binder (KTM) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) spent a few laps together on track, each getting the chance to size up the strengths and weaknesses of the other.
Binder then pits, but Ducati's Francesco Bagnaia immediately slots in behind Bezzecchi and is now chasing his rumoured 2027 Aprilia team-mate.
They are the only riders on track.
Fabio Quartararo is now ahead of team-mate Alex Rins to be the leading Yamaha, and fractionally faster than Jack Miller's V4 best day one lap. But it's only good enough to put the Frenchman 17th, 1.370s behind Marc Marquez.
After spending the first hour at the lower end of the timesheets, Marc Marquez leaps straight to the top, by 0.047s over Ducati Lenovo team-mate Francesco Bagnaia.
After a tough opening day for Yamaha, Alex Rins is up to 12th place with a 1m 30.234s, which is the V4's best of the test so far, slightly quicker than team-mate Fabio Quartararo on day one.
