Di Giannantonio has used a new soft rear to go top with a 1m20.104s.
Great lap from Cal Crutchlow. He's just gone up to 10th on a new soft rear. Unfortunately, I don't think the LCR stand-in will be battling for a Q2 place in 20 minutes' time, but there is life in the old dog for sure!
Bezzecchi has gone early on a soft tyre and improves to a 1m20.535s.
Here is a replay of the Acosta/Morbidelli incident.
The FIM stewards are investigating that incident.
Franco Morbidelli just slowed down on the racing line while Pedro Acosta was right behind him.
He got a penalty for something similar at Assen. Hard to see how he escapes a penalty here.
Standings after 20 minutes:
- Bezzecchi 1m20.605s
- M.Marquez
- A.Marquez
- Fernandez
- Acosta
- Di Giannantonio
- Bagnaia
- Martin
- Miller
- Morbidelli
15 minutes in and Bezzecchi still leads. Most in the pits just now after those first runs.
Standings after 10 minutes:
- Bezzecchi
- M.Marquez
- A.Marquez
- R.Fernandez
- Acosta
- Di Giannantonio
- Bagnaia
- Martin
- Miller
- Morbidelli
Bezzecchi improves to a 1m20.605s on that lap. Good pace early on from the Aprilia rider, given his physical condition.
Who will be our top 10 at the end of this session?
The top four are all on the medium rear tyre. Fifth-placed Acosta is the first on the soft.
Marc Marquez moves into second with a 1m20.727s.
Marco Bezzecchi posts the fastest lap of the day with a 1m20.646s.
First laps on the board and Pedro Acosta leads the way for KTM.
A few riders have already gone out on a soft rear, likely to have a bit of an early time attack on it and also do some work for the sprint.
Pitlane is open for Practice.
In case you missed it, Trackhouse Aprilia's Raul Fernandez led the way in FP1, but did so on fresh rubber.
Marc Marquez was just 0.051s slower and didn't change tyres during the session.
10 minutes till pitlane opens for MotoGP Practice.
Just 30 minutes until PR begins.
Fabio Quartararo is expected to be announced as a Honda rider, but no official confirmation has come through yet.
He talked about this on Thursday at Sachsenring.
“Not going to be super long” - Fabio Quartararo on MotoGP future announcement

A lot warmer this afternoon at the Sachsenring.
Air temp is up at 24C now, with ground temp above 40C.
As always, the upcoming session is vital in the race weekend.
The top 10 at the end of this session will advance directly into Q2 qualifying on Saturday morning.
The rest face Q1.
