2025 French WorldSBK - Race 1 Result
It's victory for Toprak Razgatlioglu in Magny-Cours Race 1.
Bulega takes second and Alex Lowes takes Bimota's first long race podium in third.
Petrucci fourth from Locatelli and Gardner in the top-six.
Bassani takes seventh ahead of Aegerter, Sam Lowes, and Bahattin Sofuoglu who completes the top-10.
Long lap penalty for Vickers for cutting the track without losing a second. He completes the long lap more successfully than he did in Balaton.
Sam lowes has crashed out of fourth. He's gone down at turn 13 but got back on inside the top-10 in ninth.
Might have put the curse on Gerloff. He's the latest turn three crasher. His second of the day. He got back on in 15th but the bike doesn't seem quite straight.
Four to go now and Razgatlioglu almost 8s clear of Bulega.
About 2s then between Bulega and Alex Lowes, and then again between Alex and Sam Lowes.
Petrucci almost 4s further back then in P5 but with 3.5s back to Locatelli.
7s now for Razgatlioglu over Bulega, who is still less than 2s clear of Alex lowes who, in turn, has 1.5s or so back to Sam Lowes. Bulega said his concern was used tyres yesterday, and it could be about to cost him late on here if Lowes can get a bit closer.
We've given credit to Locatelli for his ride from the back of the field but the same is true for Garrett Gerloff who was in the same position as the Italian.
Gerloff now up to seventh past Gardner, and only a couple of seconds behind Locatelli. Great ride from the Kawasaki rider.
4.8 now for Razgatlioglu. It's another dominant display from the BMW rider.
Alex Lowes almost 2s behind Bulega and managing a gap of around 1s to Sam Lowes.
Still 4s for Razgatlioglu. Alex Lowes has broken away from his brother and looking a couple of tenths per lap faster.
Van der Mark has been taken to the medical centre after his turn three crash.
4s now for Razgatlioglu. His teammate, van der Mark, has crashed for a second time - this time at turn three. Some assistance in getting himself away from the scene this time but he's on his feet.
3.5s for Razgatlioglu now. It's going to take tyre trouble or a mistake from the reigning champion to bring Bulega back into contention.
Over 3s now for Razgatlioglu, Loweses still in the same order.
Further back, Locatelli past Gardner and up to sixth - great ride from the Italian and still 13 laps to go.
Almost three seconds now for Razgatlioglu with 14 laps to go. Alex Lowes still ahead of Sam in the battle for third.
Van der Mark crashed out at turn eight on that lap. Petrucci now up to fifth.
Bulega now over 2.5s adrift of Razgatlioglu, but he's slowly pulling away from the Lowes brothers - Alex still ahead of Sam.
The it's van der Mark fifth and Petrucci sixth who are still in this battle.
Tarran Mackenzie has crashed at turn eight.
Razgatlioglu 2.3s clear of Bulega but lap six will be the first full lap of clear track for the Italian.
Bulega gets past Lowes for second on the run to turn five. Sam Lowes not far behind the Bimota rider now either with 17 to go.
Alex Lowes has dropped well away from Razgatlioglu now and Bulega is all over him now.
Razgatlioglu almost 2s clear.
Great start for Locatelli - he's eighth after three laps from the back of the grid.
And Bulega gets through on Sam Lowes at turn five. Up to third now and with one second ahead of him to Alex Lowes.
Back at the front, Razgatlioglu continues to lead but he has Alex Lowes all over him. They're over a second clear of Sam Lowes, who Bulega is right behind.
Rea also back in the pits. Not the way he wanted the first race after his retirement announcement to go.
Bautista has got back on his bike but has returned to the pits.
Vierge also caught up in that turn 13 incident with Rea and Iannone, and he's back to the pits as well.
Iannone down, looks like contact with Rea. Bautista and Montella caught up in that too.
