Warm-up lap is underway ahead of the Race 1 restart.

Bahattin Sofuoglu will start it from pit lane.

Pit lane open in Estori. Quick start procedure, of course, so riders will be quickly off on their warm-up lap ahead of the restart quite soon.

New race distance will be 20 laps. Pit lane open in five minutes, so 14:12 local time. Original grid positions.

Looks like the incident was caused by Bassani folding the front. Mackenzie and van der Mark then have no hope of avoiding his bike. Lecuona slowed up to avoid it and that's how Nagashima crashed, he hit the back of his fellow Honda rider.

It is being cleared up fairly quickly at turn one but not a chance they'd have done it before the leaders got round on lap two.

Bulega leads at turn six. Bautista has a look on Razgatlioglu as well but the Turkish rider holds P2.

Toprak Razgatlioglu has a shot at the title this weekend, but not today.

He needs to out-score Nicolo Bulega by 26 points over the course of this weekend's three races in order to be crowned champion.

Given the two of them are almost always in the top-two positions, it's unlikely that Razgatlioglu will be champion by the time we arrive in Jerez next week, but the Turkish rider has, in any case, made it clear this weekend that his target is to win all three races - something he failed to do last year when he was beaten by Bulega to the Superpole Race 2 win.

The grid is bolstered by two wildcards this weekend: Bobby Fong, who finished second in this year's MotoAmerica Superbike class; and Tetsuta Nagashima, the Honda test rider.

Ivo Lopes is another one-off rider this weekend, the Portuguese filling in at MIE for Zaqhwan Zaidi, who is racing in the ARRC at Sepang this weekend, where he still has a shot at the ASB1000 title.

In case you've missed it so far this weekend, we have no Danilo Petrucci lining up today.

The Italian came into this weekend with a hand injury sustained while training in the gym. He rode FP1 and finished inside the top-10, but was found to have worsening symptoms on that injured right hand afterwards and so he was declared unfit.

Sam Lowes was declared unfit this morning due to the worsening condition of a chest contusion he picked up ahead of this weekend.

Michael Ruben Rinaldi will also not line up this afternoon after he came down with gastroenteritis. He will be reviewed again before Warm Up tomorrow morning, so he might be able to come back on-track for tomorrow's races.

Those three absences, plus the missing Dominique Aegerter who broke a metacarpal after the Aragon Round two weeks ago, mean there are only 21 riders lining up today.

Toprak Razgatlioglu says he was "not really happy" with a change made on his BMW before the final run of Superpole, despite taking pole position.

Additionally, Alvaro Bautista explained his turnaround from a tricky Friday in Estoril to getting on the front row in Superpole, thanking his team for changes made overnight.

Alex Lowes, Vierge, Rea on row two; Gardner, Locatelli, and Bassani on the third row; Iannone completes the top-10, with Vickers and van der Mark on the fourth row.

Bassani improves on his latest lap but only P9, he's lost out on the second run.

Vierge had briefly got himself onto the front row in third place but that's now been retaken by Bautista.

Razgatlioglu 0.2s up on Bulega's benchmark at the third split on his latest lap, and finds another 0.15s in the final sector to move back onto provisional pole with a 1:34.203.

Rea up to third in Bulega's tow, by the way. Strong lap from the Yamaha man, still two minutes to go though.

Bulega finds a lot of time compared to his first run in split three, and more still in the final sector and he takes provisional pole.
