Piastri reflects on win

Speaking in parc ferme, Piastri said: "It was a pretty tough race. I’m very, very happy to have won. Made the difference at the start. Made my case into Turn 1, and that was enough.

"It was really tricky to follow out there. I couldn’t really stay with Max at the end of the first stint, just chewed up my tyres. And then the clean air was nice after the pit stop.

"Great race. We did the parts we needed to right. Still need a bit more I think, Max was a little bit too close for our liking, but a great race and a great weekend."

The rest of the top 10

Behind the top three, Norris completes a strong recovery drive to secure fourth.

The Mercedes pair of Russell and Antonelli take fifth and sixth ahead of Hamilton, who couldn't close in enough on Antonelli in the end.

It's a great result for Williams with Sainz and Albon finishing eighth and ninth, while Hadjar claims the final point on offer in 10th for Racing Bulls.

Piastri wins the Saudi Arabian GP!

Piastri crosses the line to win the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix!

That's his third win from five races this season and moves him into the lead of the world championship for the first time.

Verstappen comes home to take second for Red Bull, as Leclerc keeps Norris behind to claim Ferrari's first podium of the year in third.

Lap 50/50: Piastri starts final lap

Piastri has started the final lap as he heads towards the win.

19:19
Lap 47/50: Norris catching Leclerc

We could have a late bid for the podium from Norris here. The Briton is rapidly catching Leclerc's Ferrari. He's less than two seconds behind.

19:16
Lap 45/50: Norris won't be investigated

The stewards have just announced that there will be no further investigation relating to Norris crossing the white line at pit exit.

He can now breathe a sigh of relief.

19:14
Lap 44/50: Piastri closing on victory

Piastri looks fairly comfortable out in the lead as he closes in on victory in Jeddah.

The McLaren driver is just over four seconds clear of Verstappen.

Leclerc is third, 3.3s clear of a charging Norris.

19:10
Lap 41/50: Norris noted for pit exit

Norris has been noted by the stewards for crossing the line at pit exit.

Could this be trouble for Norris?

On track, he has just overtaken Russell's Mercedes for P4.

19:08
Lap 39/50: Big penalty for Lawson

Lawson has copped a 10-second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage.

That pretty much ends any hope of him scoring points. The Kiwi is 11th and five seconds behind Racing Bulls teammate Hadjar, who is holding 10th.

19:06
Lap 38/50: Leclerc passes Russell

Leclerc, who has been charging after Russell, blasts past the Mercedes driver down the pit straight to move into third place.

The Ferrari driver is absolutely flying! He is 7.5s behind Verstappen. Could he yet challenge for P2?

19:01
Lap 35/50: Norris pits, Piastri takes lead

Norris finally stops and comes back out in fifth on medium tyres.

Piastri now has clean air and the race lead. He is 4.5s ahead of Verstappen.

19:00
Lap 34/50: McLaren reveal plan

McLaren have just informed Piastri that Norris is extending by around four extra laps as he continues to run long into the race before pitting.

Piastri replies by saying that he is starting to feel the impact of running in his teammate's dirty air. He is currently two seconds behind.

18:54
Lap 30/50: Leclerc pits from lead

Leclerc finally comes in after a fantastic stint and some impressive tyre management on the medium tyres. He takes on hards, comes out in P5, and will now go to the end.

That releases Norris - who is yet to stop - into the lead, ahead of McLaren teammate Piastri.

18:48
Lap 27/50: Leclerc leads

Leclerc currently leads the race from Norris and Piastri, who will takeover the lead once Leclerc and Norris make their pit stops.

18:44
Lap 24/50: Verstappen up to fourth

Verstappen passes Hamilton at the final corner before the Ferrari driver dives into the pits to make his pit stop.

The gap between Piastri and Verstappen is 3.8s.

18:41
Lap 22/50: Verstappen pits from lead

Verstappen pits from the lead and after serving his five-second time penalty, he comes out in fifth, behind Piastri and Hamilton (who is yet to stop).

18:39
Lap 21/50: Russell next to stop

Russell is the next of the frontrunners to pit as Verstappen stays out. He returns to the track in P7.

18:38
Lap 20/50: Piastri pits!

Piastri is the first to pit as McLaren look to put Verstappen under some pressure.

But it's a slow stop for Piastri at 3.5s! Will that be costly?

18:37
Lap 19/50: Norris into top five

Norris gains another place and moves into the top five by dispatching Antonelli's Mercedes.

18:36
Lap 18/20: Verstappen pulling clear

Verstappen has moved nearly three seconds clear of Piastri at this stage of the race. He will serve his five-second time penalty when he comes in for his pit stop.

18:34
Lap 16/50: Hamilton 'sliding around'

Hamilton reports he is struggling over team radio: "I'm just sliding around here mate. I can't turn the rears."

18:30
Lap 15/50: Norris gets move done!

At the third time of asking, Norris gets the job done as he finally makes a move on Hamilton stick.

This time, he keeps behind Hamilton at the final corner and uses the DRS benefit to slingshot past the Ferrari driver on the run to Turn 1.

That's P6 for Norris. Next up is Antonelli, who is three seconds up the road.
