Lewis Larkam

F1 Editor

Lewis has led Crash.net's F1 coverage since February 2020, having earned promotion to become the lead F1 writer after just two years of working for the company.

In his time at Crash.net, Lewis has produced thousands of news articles, features and reports, as well as carrying out interviews with F1 drivers and regularly attends grands prix.

Lewis’ passion for F1 began when he became hooked watching the sport for the first time in 2007. He has never missed a Grand Prix since. This ultimately inspired Lewis to pursue a career as a sports journalist while at school.

Before graduating with a first-class BA honours degree in Sports Journalism at the University of Huddersfield in 2016, Lewis had already begun his journey to becoming an F1 journalist.

After securing a series of work experience opportunities with the likes of Autosport and Sky Sports, Lewis got his first major break as a freelancer for ESPN while still studying at university. Lewis covered the 2016 and 2017 F1 seasons during his time with ESPN, before moving joining Crash.net on a full-time basis in early 2018.

Lewis's first race as an F1 journalist was the 2018 Spanish Grand Prix and he has gone on to cover several grands prix as the reporter on the ground for Crash.net.

When he's not writing about F1, Lewis is either found running or suffering watching his beloved Southampton FC.
