F1 Singapore Grand Prix LIVE: Max Verstappen wins

Live updates from Sunday's Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay.

KEY MOMENTS

  • Max Verstappen wins Singapore GP
  • Antonelli puts one hand on title in third
  • Hamilton sixth

The 2026 Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix takes place over 62 laps on Sunday.

It has been a fantastic weekend for Red Bull's Max Verstappen so far, with the Dutchman continuing his strong form from last weekend's Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia by taking pole and victory in Singapore's first-ever sprint race, before securing pole again for the Grand Prix.

Verstappen, who is looking to win the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time, overcame a challenge from the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in regular qualifying to claim his 50th F1 career pole by just 0.054 seconds.

F1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli starts from fourth as he looks to further increase his points advantage over Mercedes team-mate George Russell, which currently stands at 89 points.

It has so far been a weekend to forget for Russell, who squandered a chance to reduce his deficit to Antonelli by crashing out of the lead of Saturday's sprint race. Adding to the Briton's pain, Russell starts today's race from towards the back with an overhanging engine penalty.

The McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri line up fifth and sixth as they look to avoid a repeat of their clumsy collision in the sprint race that left the team extremely angry with its drivers.

14:45

Piastri eases by Hamilton for fifth.

14:44
Lap 62/62

Verstappen starts the final lap.

14:42
Lap 61/62

Norris is told he has a developing potential sensor issue, so he's asked to be careful.

14:40
Lap 59/62

Verstappen starts lap 59 9.5s ahead of Leclerc.

14:39
Lap 58/62

Mercedes warns Antonelli about track limits again.

14:37

No further action on Hamilton. Not surprising given he lost the places anyway.

14:37

If it finishes as is, Antonelli will have a mathematical chance to win the championship next time out in Austin.

14:34

What a disaster for Ferrari. What were they thinking on strategy?

14:34

Norris gets fourth from Hamilton at Turn 10.

14:34
Lap 55/62

Verstappen's lead is up to 8.3s over Leclerc.

Hamilton now under investigation.

14:33

Hamilton has been noted for leaving the track and gaining an advantage.

He's now lost third to Antonelli.

14:32

Norris tried into Turn 1 but Hamilton runs wide. Norris was also wide and that's let Antonelli through!

14:32
Lap 54/62

Hamilton now has Norris and Antonelli on his rear for third. He's fighting like mad to keep that position, but this just feels like a matter of time.

14:28

Hamilton has Norris right behind him now.

14:28
Lap 52/62

Verstappen ran off track at the last corner, which means he's now 9.8s clear of Leclerc.

So, not a disaster, but doesn't want to do that again.

14:26

Hamilton's strategy has pretty much killed his hopes of a podium here. Ferrari needs to pit him now to stop him dropping behind Piastri in sixth.

14:25
Lap 50/62

Onto lap 50 and Verstappen is 13.1s ahead of Leclerc.

So, the lead gap is coming down but just not very quickly.

14:23

Antonelli has had another time deleted, so he could be getting a penalty here.

14:22

Russell has moved up to ninth ahead of Gasly.
