Mercedes confirms Hamilton to use tweaked MGU-H

Mercedes has confirmed Lewis Hamilton will make use of a new turbo and revised MGU-H for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix as it looks to quell the reliability issues that have hampered the defending champion recently.

Hamilton suffered identical MGU-H issues during qualifying for both the Chinese Grand Prix and the Russian Grand Prix, reliability issues that have prompted Mercedes to instigate a thorough investigation back at base.

In an effort to avoid any more problems, Mercedes has revised its MGU-H design and given Hamilton exclusive use of it in Barcelona this weekend, along with a new turbo.

Since Mercedes has only had the opportunity to prepare one unit, Nico Rosberg will make do with the existing turbo and MGU-H, but will receive a new ICE this weekend.
