Honda Eyes Tyrrell Factory.

Honda is rumoured to be moving into the Tyrrell facility at Ockham in Surrey when the current residents vacate the premises.

The Japanese company is known to be searching for a suitable base in Britain from which to launch its F1 assault in 1999. Tyrrell are due to leave its long-standing Ockham site when it becomes British American Racing next season, and the factory could become an interim base for Honda. The motor giant is thought likely to invest in a purpose-built facility - complete with test track - in Britain from which to operate its team long-term, however.
