ITV grand prix commentator Murray Walker is to try out the new McLaren two-seater F1 car - courtesy of fellow mike-man Martin Brundle.

The former grand prix driver will chauffeur Walker as part of ITV's British GP coverage, and both are eager to get their hands on McLaren's latest creation. (I'm extremely excited,) said Walker, (I drove a McLaren back in 1983, but this will be something else again. I'm bound to be nervous - I've never been near 200mph before, but you only live once and it's going to be an incredible experience.)

Like all prospective passengers, the 73-year old will be given a medical check to determine whether he can cope with the g-forces generated by the car, which is powered by the current Mercedes F1 engine.
