Toyota set 'launch' date for TF106.

The Panasonic Toyota Racing team has revealed they will still hold a pre-season launch for their 2006 challenger - the TF106, despite the fact they have already 'unveiled' the car by beginning testing with its this week at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The presentation will take place on Saturday, January 14 at Toyota's manufacturing facility in France.

The Panasonic Toyota Racing team has revealed they will still hold a pre-season launch for their 2006 challenger - the TF106, despite the fact they have already 'unveiled' the car by beginning testing with its this week at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.

The presentation will take place on Saturday, January 14 at Toyota's manufacturing facility in France.

"Although Toyota Racing is already testing its TF106 car in Barcelona, the team will still hold a pre-season launch event," confirmed a statement from the Cologne based squad.

"The team will use the opportunity to showcase the TF106 with race drivers Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli, as well as other key members of the team in attendance."

Toyota are not the first team to confirm their 'launch' date for their 2006 car - the BMW Sauber F1 Team are planning a two-day presentation on January 16 and 17 in Valencia, while WilliamsF1 will reveal its new identity and livery on January 27 with the launch of the new FW28. Honda meanwhile will follow two days later on January 29 in Barcelona, with Renault set to unveil the R26 in Monaco on January 31. Red Bull Racing has pencilled in a March 9 launch in Bahrain for the RB2, just prior to the opening race of the 2006 season - the Bahrain GP.
