KL Minardi Asiatech today [Wednesday] confirmed that Jirko Malcharek has been signed as a test driver for the team during the remainder of the 2002 season. The decision was taken following a successful test by the Slovakian driver at the Vairano track last week.

KL Minardi Asiatech today concluded a successful two-day session at the Vairano test track, near Milan, as part of its preparations for the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix.

Renault's Fernando Alonso to test for Jaguar.
Jaguar Racing will this week conduct a test programme at Silverstone with its young test drivers James Courtney and Andre Lotterer. The three-day test takes place from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th May.

Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) announced today that Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), TMG, and AVEX INC. have come to an agreement that names AVEX as a sponsor partner of Panasonic Toyota Racing.
