The organisers of the British GP have confirmed that rock and roll band, Status Quo, will be back to entertain F1 fans at this year's Grand Prix Party on Sunday June 11.

Renault executive director of engineering Pat Symonds has attempted to untangle the confusion surrounding radio traffic heard between Giancarlo Fisichella and race engineer Alan Permane during the Australian Grand Prix.

Scuderia Toro Rosso driver Scott Speed has admitted that his emotional outburst at losing eighth place in the Australian Grand Prix was heightened because of the rush he had from crossing the line in the points.

Scott Speed has been fined $5000 by the FIA stewards after swearing at David Coulthard during a hearing that also saw him lose his eighth place for passing under yellows.
Gascoyne. frustrated by Trulli failure.
Toyota technical director Mike Gascoyne reckons that Jarno Trulli would have joined Ralf Schumacher in the top six on the grid in Australia had he not suffered a gearbox problem.
Barrichello: Only traffic to blame.
Rubens Barrichello failed to make it through the first round of qualifying in Australia, and then had to sit and watch in frustration as team-mate Jenson Button put the sister Honda on pole position.

Alonso unhappy with second row.
World champion Fernando Alonso was an unhappy man after qualifying in Melbourne, and pointed the finger of blame at his Renault team after missing the opportunity to join Honda's Jenson Button on the front row.

Juan Pablo Montoya led the way in the first qualifying session at Albert Park, but Rubens Barrichello failed to progress after being held up on his last-ditch flier.

WilliamsF1's long-serving head of marketing Jim Wright has revealed that he is to stand down from his post at the end of the month.

David Coulthard has spoken out ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, picking home favourite Mark Webber as his target.

22 entries for 2008.
The FIA, Formula One's governing body, confirmed on Friday that it had received 22 entries for the 2008 Formula One world championship. A brief statement posted on the organisation's website read:

Minardi F1x2 season kicks off down under.
The Minardi F1x2 team completed its first event of 2006 on Tuesday, with a successful programme at Mangalore Airport, north of Melbourne.

Dyer: Schumacher just as committed.
Michael Schumacher's race engineer, Chris Dyer has said that he cannot see 'any reason' to indicate that the German is going to quit the sport.
