17th and 20th for Kirkwood; he had no practice running due to a crash so it was expected he would come into qualifying blind.

Fourth in R1 and fourth in R2. Fastest Arrow McLaren but looked to lack a little all over.

Wow, story of two halves here - Ferrucci goes fourth for R1 and 13th for R2. That's behind Daly in both.
Can he beat Daly today? There has been a lot of talk from him about beating the Juncos Holinger driver this weekend. Let's see if he can start well with that.
R1:
- Newgarden
- Daly
- Siegel
R2:
- Malukas
- Newgarden
- Siegel
Really impressive run by Siegel so far but lots of heavy hitters still to come.
The car simply slips out from the rear around the first corner. It's tough and bumpy track at Iowa so wouldn't be surprised if that is what caused it.
McLaughlin's car is an absolute mess, it will be an impressive feat by Penske if they can get that car together of the Synk 275.
To add to Penske's woes, McLaughlin has ended in the wall.
Speaking to FS1, all Newgarden says is its "ok" and has very few words else to say. Clearly not confident in it.

Very off the pace of what we thought he could do. That's ninth in both races.
