Hamish joined the Crash.Net team in 2025 and has previously worked for several motorsport outlets including Autosport and Motorsport Magazine.
Graduating in 2023 after achieving a masters in Journalism from the University of Sheffield, Hamish spent just under a year working full time at the Bournemouth Daily Echo.
During his tenure at the Echo, he covered a variety of stories such as the 2024 Bournemouth Air Show which was attended by 500,000 spectators and covered the lead up to the 2024 General Election.
Working as a national reporter for Autosport since August 2023, Hamish has covered race meetings up and down the country which has given him trackside experience.
His favourite event he has attended as a journalist was the 2024 Berlin E-Prix which he covered for EverythingF1.
An avid fan of Formula One, Hamish has keen knowledge in several disciplines of motorsport including IndyCar, MotoGP, WEC, and plenty more.
His first F1 season was 2008 with the sensational final lap at the Brazilian GP seared into his mind. From that moment he has watched almost every single race and has the unhealthy habit of using F1TV like Netflix so he can go back and watch old races.
His favourite seasons to rewatch are either between 2010-2012 but has a soft spot for both the 2017 and 2018 seasons.
Outside of motorsport, Hamish loves trekking and has previously hiked to Everest Base Camp.
