IndyCar Mid-Ohio race LIVE UPDATES!

Live updates from the IndyCar Mid-Ohio Indy 200 race.

Alex Palou took pole position for the IndyCar Mid-Ohio, giving him a chance to extend his dominance this year.

Christian Lundgaard will be his closest competition on the starting grid.

Palou drew the anger from Will Power on Saturday so their rivalry will renew.

The race will begin at 6pm UK time / 1pm ET.

Scott Dixon is looking strong on his strategy sat in third and 16 second behind Palou. I believe he is still on a two-stop too.

Palou overcooks it into T4 and runs off the track. That won't help him stay in front of Lundgaard. He seems to have been very lucky and only lost about a second and a half.

Kyffin Simpson is dropping down the order, he seems to have an issue. Herta has been promoted to third. He seems to have found some pace again but is now in seventh.

Christian Rasmussen has pulled over with a engine issue as smoke leaves the back of his car. This has brought out a caution which should help two-stopper Scott Dixon.

Lundgaard is right behind Palou and has begun to hustle him across the track.

Colton Herta comes out ahead of Siegel

Siegel pitted a lap ahead of Herta but lost the position when Herta undercut him. Siegel is now fighting to retake the position while Herta is on cold tires.

Palou gets stuck between Rasmussen and Rosenqvist. The Meyer Shank driver passes Palou on his cold tires which puts Lundgaard behind him.

The wear on the softer compound seems much more manageable than thought. This puts the front cars in much better position at this point.

Santino Ferrucci came out  of the pits inches in front teammate David Malukas. Ferrucci is on the black wall tire while Malukas is on the red.

Lundgaard now sits 2.5 seconds behind Palou. Still plenty of time for this race to change.

Second place in the championship, Kyle Kirkwood, pits for red wall tires. He was running in ninth after starting seventh. He has dropped to 20th.

Power is back in the pits with a fire out of the back of his car. The Aussie is out of his car with the issue terminal. That's 2/3 Penske's already out.
