IndyCar Mid-Ohio race LIVE UPDATES!

Live updates from the IndyCar Mid-Ohio Indy 200 race.

Alex Palou took pole position for the IndyCar Mid-Ohio, giving him a chance to extend his dominance this year.

Christian Lundgaard will be his closest competition on the starting grid.

Palou drew the anger from Will Power on Saturday so their rivalry will renew.

The race will begin at 6pm UK time / 1pm ET.

David Malukas makes great move on Alexander Rossi, next up to overtake Rossi is Pato O'Ward.

Speaking to Fox, Newgarden seemed confused by the incident not sure what has happened.

Fighting through T4, Lundgaard takes back second to chase after Palou. Fair and close racing between the two.

Power incident involved McLaughlin

To add to Team Penske's woes, Power seemed to hit his teammate, Scott McLaughlin. He has been in the pits after sustaining damage to his underwing.

Not the season Newgarden would want to be having. It's been a bad weekend and bad season for Team Penske so far.

Colton Herta and Louis Foster will start on blacks, the harder compound of tire, with Foster believing this will be a black tire race.

10 more laps added to Mid-Ohio this year

Mid-Ohio has added 10 laps to this year's race to change strategies and push teams to a three stop race. 

That hasn't stopped teams for talking about a two stop so expect some teams to still give it a shot.

Only Alex Palou and Kyle Kirkwood have won this season but could we see a different winner at Mid-Ohio?

Palou starts on pole while Kirkwood is in seventh. Watch out for those with new alternates, the softest compound, who, as Palou said, will have a "huge, huge advantage".

Big crash in Indy NXT

Two IndyNXT drivers were involved in a giant crash where one of the cars ended up airborne earlier today.

Both drivers stepped out of the car and seemed to be ok.
