Rahal got out the gravel trap and pitted for a change of tires.
Not the season Newgarden would want to be having. It's been a bad weekend and bad season for Team Penske so far.
Caution has been waived while we wait for the cars to be cleaned up.
Seems that Newgarden simply locks up and goes sideways. It's unclear how Rahal joined him in the gravel trap too.
Newgarden is out almost immediately after incident with Graham Rahal. Power seems to have been involved too.

Watch out for Ericsson, O'Ward, and all the Penske drivers who are out of position.
Temperatures are high at Mid-Ohio at around 32 degree according to AccuWeather. This should have a big effect on tire degradation, especially for those starting on red wall tires.
3-time CART champion Bobby Rahal gives a very calm command.

Mid-Ohio has added 10 laps to this year's race to change strategies and push teams to a three stop race.
That hasn't stopped teams for talking about a two stop so expect some teams to still give it a shot.

Only Alex Palou and Kyle Kirkwood have won this season but could we see a different winner at Mid-Ohio?
Palou starts on pole while Kirkwood is in seventh. Watch out for those with new alternates, the softest compound, who, as Palou said, will have a "huge, huge advantage".
Felix Rosenqvist was fastest in the Warm Up session earlier today followed by Marcus Armstrong and pole sitter Alex Palou.
