The traffic has worked out well for the No.20 BMW of Frijns, who is now four seconds clear. But he is due to a pitstop at the end of this lap.
The Toyota cleared traffic into the Ford chicane, while the No.12 didn't. So, that has closed things up again.
The No.12 has cleared one of the LMP2 traffic, which the Toyota hasn't, at the Porsche Curves.
Kobayashi is right on the tail of the No.12 Caddy now into chicane two!

8.9s covers the top four.

The top seven in Hypercar are on the lead lap, with 35s covering that lot.

Five hours to go! And we're still under safety car, but shouldn't be too far from getting going again.
This safety car period, once it has all shaken out, it will have reset the lead battles. That's good new for Toyota following the No.8's brake issues.
The No.36 Alpine has had its issues resolved and is heading out again. It's two laps down, though.
The No.8 Toyota's brake drum problem is now fixed, after it was changed at its most recent stop under the safety car.
The safety car trains are being released and merged now, so we'll be getting going again.
The No.36 Alpine is being wheeled into its garage. Not sure what the issue is, but that will lose it at least a lap.
