2023 Valencia MotoGP: Sprint race LIVE UPDATES

The championship gap is now 14 points as Bagnaia claimed P5. 

Martin wins the sprint at Valencia! Binder takes second and Marc Marquez finishes third. 

It's last lap time as Martin continued to lead. Bagnaia is still fifth. 

MARTIN LEADS. He's through on Binder as the crowd goes wild in Valencia. 

Binder leads and Marquez is going for it against Martin. The Pramac rider is still third for now. 

It's all kicking off at the front as Binder and Vinales are scrapping hard for the race lead. 

Quartararo goes for it against Bagnaia but he's crashed out at turn five. 

Vinales still leads but Binder, Martin and Marquez are catching the race leader.

Martin is through on Marquez for third and Bagnaia is struggling to hold off Quartararo for fifth. 

Martin is through on Bagnaia after contact was nearly made. But they've both lost positions to Binder and M. Marquez.

Bagnaia made the perfect start but Vinales has come straight back through at turn two.

The formation lap is underway ahead of the biggest sprint race so far in 2023.

Both Marquez brothers have gone down as Alex has just slid off his Ducati. 

Marc Marquez has gone whilst following Jorge Martin. 

Vinales sets the first-ever sub 1m 28s lap at Valencia. What an effort. 

Bagnaia goes quickest on his first flying lap. 

Here goes Bagnaia with a new soft rear tyre. 

Binder goes fastest from Martin but Bagnaia's time from Q1 is still yet to be beaten.
