  • 2026 Buriram MotoGP Test: Day 1 Results

Former world champions Fabio Quartararo and Jorge Martin make their return to MotoGP action during day one of the final pre-season test, at Buriram in Thailand on Saturday.

Quartararo missed the last two days of testing at Sepang due to a broken finger on day one of the Official Malaysian test, although all the new Yamaha V4s were then grounded on day two of three due to a technical issue.

Martin, meanwhile, hasn’t been on his Aprilia since last November’s Valencia test, having undergone secret follow-up surgery on his wrist and collarbone injuries in December.

Alex Marquez was fastest from Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi at the end of the Sepang test, with the Gresini rider also delivering the fastest Sprint simulation, ahead of factory Ducati duo Francesco Bagnaia and reigning champion Marc Marquez.

Marc Marquez took a perfect double victory from pole position on his Ducati Lenovo debut in last year’s Thai Grand Prix.

Riders and teams will be using the final two-day test to decide on their bike spec, and especially aero homologation, for next weekend’s season-opener.

Testing is split into two sessions each day. The first session runs from 10am to 1pm, followed by practice starts. The second is from 1:20pm to 6pm, then practice starts to finish.
