Crash.net MotoGP podcast with Keith Huewen: Mandalika mystery, listener Qs

This week's Crash.net MotoGP podcast featuring Keith Huewen begins with a round-up of the latest news, including a change to the flag regulations, Moto3 to test the new automatic accident warning system and John McPhee's back injury in a training accident that has forced him out of the Indonesian Grand Prix (an injury McPhee wasn't too happy with Heuwen revealing on Twitter).

The bulk of the show then sees host Harry Benjamin put a series of listener questions to former grand prix rider Huewen and Crash.net MotoGP editor Peter McLaren.

Questions sent in include whether Suzuki's race issues in Qatar could have been fuel related, Lin Jarvis and Yamaha, plus whether it's fair that the other five manufacturers are now pushing for a ban on Ducati's ride-height innovation.

Huewen then previews the upcoming Mandalika event, explaining how important the country is for MotoGP and the favourable feedback from riders over the track layout, but also highlighting uncertainty over issues such as the last-minute resurfacing.

Throw in unpredictable weather, a likely revised tyre allocation compared to the test, plus the presence of Dunlop rubber from the Moto2 and Moto3 riders and it all adds up to something of a 'Mandalika mystery' heading into this weekend.

With that in mind, the show ends with all three making their MotoGP podium predictions for Sunday's race. The same manufacturer jumps out as the pre-race favourite for both Huewen and McLaren, but will they be right?
