Don't be surprised if you catch Hills Bros Coffee Driver Hut Stricklin curling his lip once or twice this race weekend.

Be polite and one may get a "Thank you, thank you very much," reply from the veteran racer.

As much as Stricklin is geared up and excited for the UAW-DaimlerChrysler 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he also enjoys the opportunity to be among the ol' stomping grounds of The King.

"One of my heroes outside of racing growing up was Elvis," Stricklin said. "This is one of the places he frequented during his storied career. I enjoy coming out here and seeing the places that he helped make famous."

Stricklin, a lean, black-headed Alabama gentleman has been known to do his own Elvis impersonation on special occasions.

"It's fun to do it," Stricklin joked. "I have grown out the hair, sideburns, and put on the rhinestone jump suits for kicks from time to time. It's a way to relax, a tribute to him, and it's fun for the family and friends who get to see it.

"The things he did in his career were amazing. The flocks of fans that followed him were in the millions.

"Unfortunately, he was not around to see the legacy that he has accomplished in the music industry. The legacy that he left may never be matched, but will always be used as a measuring stick to all other musicians and singers."

Stricklin and the Hills Bros Coffee Crew hope to "Follow That Dream" of success this Sunday on FOX at 2:30 pm EST.
